International Conference on

Nonlinear Optics and Excitation Kinetics in Semiconductors

Bremen, Germany

22 to 25 September 2014

About the Conference

The International Conference on Nonlinear Optics and Excitation Kinetics in Semiconductors (NOEKS) is the 12th meeting in a series with an excellent tradition in bringing together leading scientists in the field of semiconductor optics. NOEKS 12 stands in this tradition by covering the most recent developments in this rapidly evolving field, which involve new materials, novel experimental techniques, and fruitful collaborations between theorists and experimentalists. There will be no parallel sessions, and the conference will provide plenty of opportunities for discussions.

Topics of NOEKS 12:

  • Low-dimensional and nanostructured optoelectronic and photonic systems (semiconductors, metallic and hybrid systems, organic semiconductors, van der Waals heterostructures)
  • Ultrafast nonlinear dynamics (coherent effects, coherent control, quantum kinetics, terahertz phenomena)
  • Solid state based quantum optics (photon statistics, quantum light sources, entanglement)
  • Spin effects (spin relaxation and dephasing, spin transport)
  • Semiconductor based quantum information processing
  • Novel laser physics
